18.  Report Cards.  Yesterday was Report Card day.  Thankfully, they will be allowed to keep attending school.



17.  Dear Santa. . . Rory went through Target and we took a picture of everything she wants for Christmas.  Expect several many emails containing some tons of photos.  For example, there is one with each color of nail polish she would like.  Thank you for your patience.  She's been extremely mostly good.

15.  Aidan Genevieve is Seven.  I now understand that brief, sad, wistful look my parents had whenever I had a birthday.





14.  Cooped Up With Sick Kid.   All I can think about is how much I miss OBX.



13.  You See the Kid in the Middle?  He lives in the little town we moved from in MN.  His name is Luke.  The kid on the left is named Devon.  I have known Devon since he was about 7.   Luke is one of Devon's best friends.  Luke turned 16 on Halloween and is dying of cancer.  His family just decided last week to stop treatment and manage his pain for as long as they can.  I was sitting here planning and stressing about things like Thanksgiving dinner, shopping for Christmas gifts, and next summer's big concert when I checked in on Luke's CaringBridge site.  Now I feel like a piece of shit but I am grateful for the reality check that I apparently so badly needed.  As a mother, how could I not cry reading Luke's mother's words?  I am blessed beyond measure and the least I can do is ask everyone to ease this family's burden by praying.  So, please pray for this family.  PRAY HARD.
